Watercolor 11x14.

Color Palette: Cadmium Lemon, Isoindonone Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Manganese Blue Hue, Prussian Blue, Indanthrone Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Red Light, Permanent Rose, Mayan Red, Cobalt Violet

This is April's self-imposed Mucha-Inspired Challenge painting!

I planned and studied this painting for so long. I was very intimidated to do it. But ultimately I took the plunge, and I'm glad I did!

Ironically, the biggest challenge was my paper. Don't ask me why, but I decided to use the back of a piece of watercolor paper that had an unfinished painting of lilies on it...only to find out the back had little to no surface sizing! In that light, I'm amazed this painting turned out at all. In the future, I'm not going to use the backs of pieces of watercolor paper. XD
