And they're back with a vengeance! After almost 12 years of failing to work on an update for my old brushes pack I've finally managed to find the motivation and the proper skillset to create some brand new and much improved upon brushes to paint real-life camouflage patterns.

We brought back the classics! We bring the new stuff in! And even the patterns that didn't make it into the cut IRL!

Included in the pack are cold war classics like Woodland and ERDL (Although upon inspection I realized that they're kind of the same so haha REDUNDANCY! We got 3 and 6 color Desert patterns. We got Tigerstripe (Although actually developed in South Vietnam), the infamous Urban-T camo tested like once and since become a meme in the camo community! Night Desert is also in for those Gulf War aesthetics! We got Digital camos for those pixelated needs. We even got a pixelated Tigerstripe for those ABU feels. Brand new Multicam brushes that are not shit this time. And we went further! We got the Operational Camouflage Pattern that has since replaced Multicam in US service.

This particular release of the new pack focuses on American camos. Well mostly. Tigerstripe is actually Vietnamese but was and is still very popular in the US, and digital/pixelated camouflage has its origins in Canada despite claims otherwise. So don't kill me bro.

To download just click the download button and to install just extract the ABR files into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets\Brushes and Voíla, ready for use! (Note it says CS6 here but you may be using a newer version so... just find your PhotoShop folder and adjust accordingly). As of now I am not sure if these work in other painting programs but if you want to try these in other programs then please do so and let me know if they work or not.

The brushes that I was using up until now were really useful to make camo but the small size of the brushes and the fact that you had to place each brush stroke on top of the other like it was a puzzle game, made them a little overcomplicated. But again they were still very useful to paint camouflage.

These new brushes are something else baby. ;D They're much bigger sitting at 5K, the quality is also significantly better. The massive size of the brushes means that you will likely have to lower the size of the brushes to something more managable but the quality of them does no suffer as a consequence. With the old brushes you couldn't really scale them up without causing some loss of quality. The new brushes have also been modified to allow certain liberty of placement when painting one pattern on top of the other. A lot of the brushes have also been numbered and positioned in the list according to the order in which they're intended to be used. Some even have the name of the colors they're intended to paint. But these are tools and once you get them installed it's really up to you to decide how to use them best.

I will try to record some tutorials at a later date (Hopefully not too late) in order to teach you guys how to use some of these beauties.

Most of the brushes were made using clean samples made by Tounushi and BradVickers. Urban-T is from Raviolooo.

Well I hope you guys find these useful for your camouflage needs. I will be expanding this pack with other camo patterns. Probably a lot of European camos coming in the next update.

But for now I'm gonna go back to drawing and perhaps try these out myself.
