There were fun things about this game while it lasted. There was always something - an unfinished song, an unplayed prank, an unseen scowl - that made him decide to stay another day, and another, until days turned to weeks and weeks to years. He overstayed his intentions by far, but it was fun. He cannot say this, but it was fun, it was so fun.

But that is enough now. This life can no longer be lived, so he forfeits it.

There is no longer anything he wants.

The second part! _(:3/ This one is mostly perspective from Cassair, and what happens when the colossus rises from Reluir. Just like last year and every Spectre Day, something seems to pull his mind far away - but this time, he doesn't resist. This time, he doesn't want to come back.

He lets go. He lets go of his name, his face, and everything that once gave him an identity. He becomes an entity without form or footprint, and the seals that held him no longer have anything to hold onto. He leaves. He compels Liam to scrape out the insides his own skull through his eyes. He steps onto the street, familiar yet foreign. He does not belong here. Outside the borders, the forest clamours and he hears it. He goes there. The protective charms surrounding the city are strong, but they were made to ward against things outside - not inside. He is inside. And he has learned the ways of people, so he knows how to dismantle the charms. He dismantles them.

He is not a person, and he is not on their side.

So yes, as you've probably already guessed, the unknown critter that lets the monsters into Iadlain is Cass! Or whatever the hell he qualifies as now. Anyone is welcome to glimpse him since he's just roaming about as one of the monsters now, but he has no face, colour or substance, and is strangely difficult to remember - more of an absence than a presence. The Iadlish will probably name and record him as a new kind of monster (if they survive long enough).

Since my art isn't terribly clear, the panel that shows the various bonds that once retained him includes! Moriel and Maera (for the people of Iadlain), Martin and Sigmund (for the people of abroad), Greagoir (for the Grey Coven), a vague Shepherd (for the secret relations), and hints of Esther and Zeloph (Coven again - also I used Zel's old witch-hat design bc it has such a distinctive silhouette!). Cassair has met many more people than that but there's only so much I can pack into that panel wheeze--

To everyone he has ever encountered though, whether once or recurring, major or minor, positive or negative: thank you so much, every moment has been a luxury
