perhaps we are all conservative
yet we take things that are offbeat and outcast at times
and propose a better life that is more inclusive

of the individuals in a society

that is the liberal way

    Summer 2019

June was spent with my brother and his fiance. We frequented the library and coffee shop a lot to keep cool in the AC. It was actually June gloom for the whole month it seemed. I just remembered it being overcasted. I wish I had taken pictures. Oh well. Nothing happened this month. July was with brother and his fiance and we did our daily hangouts to keep cool. It was hotter days for sure! We had 4th of July and I went to my older sister's house for some BBQ and I slept over because I didn't want to drive at night all alone in the fireworks that everyone was doing that night. We frequented the mall a few times and coffee shops and stores of course the library! August was again with brother and his fiance. Baby Luna came to visit from Washington and her Mom and Her boyfriend. They arrived Thursday night and stayed until Sunday evening. I got to babysit Luna and give her snuggles and kisses. It was my nephew's 6th year death anniversary so we went to cementary and stayed there until closing time. Luna slept over my older sister's house and so did I so I could be near her. One more week left of August and I cannot wait until Fall season. Maybe I'll visit WA????? Here is a picture of baby Luna as a newborn. She is 1 years old now for the record.

    Today's Lunch

We are at a very cool little diner called Mr. Pete's. We had the burger special which was $4.99. Came with beef burger, French fries and a regular drink! Not bad, eh?
  3. #1 My Mother! My Mom was such an amazing woman. She worked so hard all her life. I remember her juggling like 3 jobs when she got divorced just to make ends meet for her 5 children. She was my best friend and always supported me through all my ups and downs. She died in 2018. I will forever miss her and her strong and kind ways. #2 My Grandmothers! My Mom's mother was a wonderful lady. She was also very active in raising her children. My Dad's Mom was very caring. She always bought as Christmas presents and would not miss anyone!
  4. It didn't last long I knew it was too good to be true Will she be in your life forever I ponder that thought I gave you the best sex I gave you laughter I gave you myself It wasn't enough She always wins Now I'm alone The most annoyance is that future You were suppose to be in it I have lost The end
Well isn''t the Fall season an incredible time of the year! Here is a cute scarecrow inside some Fall flowers. It's just as adorable as can be. Happy Fall!
This here symbolizes my love for the holiday Halloween! I have so much loved halloween since a very young age and would throw Halloween parties for my nieces and nephews. It holds a special place in my heart. This here jack o lantern is made of up glass. It is quite a unique addition to my Halloween decor because the mouth part spells EEK! It also lights up. It is colored orange and white. Very shiny. With a cute stem on top! Happy Halloween ya'll!T

  7. Instead of dieting I would like to offer a different approach this year when everyone seems to wanting to diet more in January. I have a book called Body Kindness by Rebecca Scritchfield, RDN ( Registered Dietitian Nutritionist ). It's to transform your health from inside out and never say diet again. This book shows you how to create a healthier and happier life by treating yourself with compassion rather than shame. Body Kindness is based on Four principles. WHAT YOU DO: the choices you make about food, exercise, sleep, and more HOW YOU FEEL: befriending your emotions and standing up to the unhelpful voice in your head WHO YOU ARE: goal-setting based on your personal values WHERE YOU BELONG: body-loving support from people and communities that help you create a meaningful life Freedom from Diets! I noticed that usually people are over weight as a child, but not in my case. I was not skinny and not heavy. I was just in the middle. In high school 9th grade I was the same way and I would say it was because I never ate. Once in awhile I'll eat something but I never ate three meals a day and I could go on not eating a lot. I was not very healthy, but I never gained weight. It was when something tragic happened to my older brother that I started spiraling down hill and using bad fast food as a comfort to all the bad emotions that I was feeling. It was very sad and I just about hated myself. I then started exercising again in my twenties and then in my mid twenties I was really bad with food again and gaining all the this weight. Eventually I just would try dieting and failing and exercising and dieting but failure would ensue. I am now 37 and I am coming to terms with how much I appreciate my body nowadays. As much as I was looking good when I was younger inside though I was extremely unhappy and VERY unsure about myself. As I am older I think more about body positivity and not much shame. It's still a working process but it's getting there. For example I would feel so guilty being over weight that I wouldn't allow myself to go meet with old friends and hide from the world. I was embarrassed and that is fucked up shit right there! I am more than just over weight. I have a heart, emotions, feelings, I am a loving person, I have wants and dislikes, etc. I am human! So lastly, I would recommend this book and books about good body positivity ones. This is my favorite quote, " Because the pounds aren't really the issue. Your state of mind is." Jess Baker

    2017

This year was filled with friendship and hanging out with said friends. I can say that this year I went out almost every weekend and just about loved it. My one regret is not meeting a personal goal. This goal would have helped me in so many ways. I will try again next year! I have hopes. Its just that time of year to get myself in perspective and learn what needs more attention on. I expect to make more money next year and also meet my personal goal. I plan on eating more vegetarian and vegan meals. I plan on going grocery shopping more at Trader Joe's. ( I love it there ) Here is some reasons why eating Vegetarian/Vegan meals are better for you. You'll ward off disease. Vegetarian diets are more healthful than the average American diet, particularly in preventing, treating or reversing heart disease and reducing the risk of cancer. A low-fat vegetarian diet is the single most effective way to stop the progression of coronary artery disease or prevent it entirely. Cardiovascular disease kills 1 million Americans annually and is the leading cause of death in the United States. You'll keep your weight down. The standard American diet—high in saturated fats and processed foods and low in plant-based foods and complex carbohydrates——is making us fat and killing us slowly. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a division of the CDC, the National Center for Health Statistics, 64 percent of adults and 15 percent of children aged 6 to 19 are overweight and are at risk of weight-related ailments including heart disease, stroke and diabetes You'll have more energy. Good nutrition generates more usable energy——energy to keep pace with the kids, tackle that home improvement project or have better sex more often, Michael F. Roizen, MD, says in The RealAge Diet. Too much fat in your bloodstream means that arteries won’'t open properly and that your muscles won'’t get enough oxygen. Those are just some examples. It's better for the planet and animals as well:) I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and peaceful new year 2018!
