Okay, the title for this piece has an explanation that may or may not make sense: this is what I was thinking of for one of my stories, and I still don't know why the third color is magenta.  The yellow, of course, represents hope and joy; I'm not sure why it made me think of purple, but the character it was representing is the classic cynic-because-wounded-victim type, and it just makes sense that way in my head.  But what doesn't fit is that the magenta apparently represents healing, which is the story's theme, but the music that it got paired with isn't magenta-sounding: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKHEfp… (if you want, don't look at the picture or the title and just close your eyes, then comment what colors it makes you think of).  Anyway, the poem is for the Poetry-on-the-mind contest, but the title was because I couldn't think of anything that was purple, yellow, and magenta at the same time, but I do know that pansies come in those colors, so that's what I named it after.  Hope that makes sense; I wish you Joy!

P.S. What ticks me off is that it's 1:30 AM and I had just uploaded this when I guess I hit the X too soon and something didn't save; anyway, this is the second version because the first one somehow got deleted and I literally had to rewrite the whole thing from scratch, so Censored  technology and have a very pleasant evening.

  • Idiocracy would not relate Repression to Communism due to their years of training by the misdirecting repressors.
