During my trip to BlizzCon I had the opportunity to visit some stunning places for a photoshoot with my new Wizard costume from Diablo III! Usually I edit the photos Benni takes of me, but this time I've played that much WoW (in fact I've played the whole night today... again) that I've let Benni explore Photoshop and Lightroom a bit. We both have usually no idea, what we're doing, but for that the result turned out quite well I guess! And I'm proud we resisted to add rainbows, ha ha! Hope you'll like it! ... Nighttime. Small flash fiction of a character from my novel Rosethorn, for the prompt "Superstitions" in the group Took inspiration for the title from the book "The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime". Its the old "black cat means bad luck" superstition, as you can tell. There's also one about a bird in there too, and what happens if you put your trousers on inside out early in the morning. a WIP of a Darth Revan companion piece to Vader in the Galaxies promo. Strangely enough this is the first Darth Revan I've done since I first visualized him for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic all those years ago. May do more in future, some Sith Troopers, maybe even a Darth Malak rethink. The Tardis doing some serious damage to Dalek forces, with Mr. Angry Eyebrows watching over. In some way, I think this pic sums up the Doc's rage & anger towards those machines of war. The final horrific solution to oppose the Daleks was to wipe them out completely. Of course, the Doc would have to be pushed to his limit, even bypassing his moral code. My cosplay of Plava Laguna, the blue Diva from the 5th Element Movie ^^... JUST GET MY AMMMMAAAZINNNG PICTUUUUURE from Droo Photographer!!! you are FABULOUS www.facebook.com/DrooPhotograp… He is THE BEST you'll ever find and for a really REALLY good price, you'll be surprise for SURE^^ he goes to a lot of cons and he is aslo the nicest person you'll ever meet^^ :3 WELL :3 so that it for the picture... now for the costume! this costume is my actual master piece... it gave me a 3 won worth artisan-prices at the Otakuthon masquerade 2014. I won Best in class (2) and most inspirationnal presentation (1). this costume took me 8 month to realise. I was working in the same periode of time... so it was also a lot of test, thinking, trying, do again, cry, failure, sucess, painful, etc. The dress is fabric made with need of 2-3 mockup to get the perfect shape... (really wanted that WAVY part to look good) and spay paint the color ar the bottom with special paint that hold realy nice on syntetic fabric (LOT of tests!!!) and the last mockup actully serve as the black under-double dress ^^ the black plastic part are thermoform with a new technique that I created by myself ... it's like vacuforming... but WITHOUT vacuum XD less expensive, but it need a good touch to get it right... the tentacle and foam tube cover in latex mix with paint, and the head in directly sculpt in styrofoam (uses for wall isolation) ... lot of primer and sanding... I also use a forhead section mask to fit my forhead and join it with the rest of the head .. it goes under my eyesbrow... so realy strong hold ^^ it DOESNT move. it did not seems that much lol... but so mush experiment in that costume............... it's like thing never work 1st time for me (i'm doomed><) sooo ^^ that's why!
