  1. I did this painting based in a gang fight in my neighborhood that me and my girlfriend saw. It was funny 'cause in my city didn't have gang fights since 90s, mainly among punks in East Side ( where I live ), generally punk's fight happened on downtown or in West Side. In my area always was most common taggers's fight.

    =============================================

Done in Paintstorm Studio and PS.

  2. Here's a blurb so you know what you're getting into: In order to save a friend’s life, Oleska must retrieve a rare herb from deep within the forest, so she enlists the help of Maxim, the village’s best hunter. However, Maxim is hated and feared by the whole village because he is the son of a witch. As they travel through the forest, Oleska learns Maxim’s side of the story and finds that it resonates with her own dark past. Will they find what they are looking for in the forest, or something more?

Some more detailed info, if the blurb wasn't enough: This is a Historical Romance set in the 1200s during the Mongol Invasion of Kievan Rus (known today as Russia, specifically in the Novgorod and Valdai regions). All the characters are affected by that event, but are not heavily involved in it. The principal plot and conflict is a romance between two peasants, each with a past they must reconcile within themselves before moving on, as well as the challenges they face in the untamed wilderness and the adversity they find back home in civilization. The story is told from a limited third person perspective centered on Oleska, a herbalist, as she becomes steadily more attracted to Maxim, a hunter. There are mature themes like offensive language, racial slurs, religious/spiritial defamation, violence, and sex [but not portrayed explicitly]. This story is intended to be a novella no longer than 50,000 words. There are no chapters, but the story is divided into four episodic parts, which will be published serially.

This deviation is approx. 5,000 words out of a total of 15,000. That means the text up there is only one-third of Part One, and ALL of it is available right now. If the story and characters caught your interest and you want to read more, please support my work by purchasing the remaining two-thirds of this part. It's only 100 DA points, and you get it in PDF, MOBI, and EPUB formats for easy reading on your phone or e-reader! You can spare that much, can't you? (If you can't find the purchase button, it probably means you don't have a credit card registered to your DA account.) Also, Part Two is coming soon and is a similar length, and I've planned to write four parts total. Thanks in advance for your interest in my story!

SPECIAL OFFER: The story has been passed through two beta readers before being posted here (the talented akrasiel and adorable Rhelna), but I'm always thirsty for more constructive concriticism. If you promise to provide a minimum 300-word critique and to point out any mistakes/typos you find, I'll give you all of Part One for FREE, in PDF format. Just note me. I have no way to enforce that deal on your end, so I'm doing this in good faith. Please be fair and don't cheat me. Thanks again, guys!

Also: In order to write the story, I had to do a lot of research into the historical context (duh), so if you have questions or want more details about anything, don't be afraid to ask. I'll answer in layman's terms or refer you to professional research.

And before I forget: Here's some concept art I commissioned, drawn by my friend Darisper.

But wait, there's more! If you like my writing and want to read something with closer ties to the history it's set in (and heavier doses of mature content), please check out my other story Mercy. It's a (long) short story set in 377 in Thrace, during the Gothic War and the waning years of the Roman Empire. It's completely finished, but in beta and in need of constructive feedback. Any comments are appreciated.

  3. Hold the reins inside
    Hold it inside...
    These horses, they pull me
    These tires, they pull me
    These winds, they push me
    These wires, they pull me
On the unforgiving roads that lead to you
These winds, these winds they push me
These wires, these wires they pull me
These wires, these wires they pull me
    To you
And nobody can stop me now.

    :bulletpurple: Making the Plush :bulletpurple:
This was a super unique and fun project to work on! The concept sketch is really important on this plush so I included it up above. The project was a birthday present for my commissioner's daughter and she wanted to take three of her daughter's favorite characters and to take aspects from all of them to combine them into a dragon. She is an awesome person to work with and even the planning phase was a lot of fun! Ultimately we decided on this design. From each character we did:
    - Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls: Bowtie, brick tummy pattern, angry eyelid, tall/skinny pupil
    - Tom from Star vs. the Forces of Evil: Hair Spikes, body color, markings around eyes, horns, ear piercings, a fire wing, three eyes, and fire embroidered under his feet so he can "walk on fire"
    - Garnet from Steven Universe: eye iris colors, mask, a pink wing
(And as a small bonus at the end, we added a little monocle accessory to represent Mr. Monocle from the online comic Gloomverse)
Also I am super pumped about the little twist I was able to work into his tail - I thought it would be really hard but I went for it and it came out exactly as I imagined.

    :bulletyellow: Design Details :bulletyellow:
    - Handmade by me from patterns that I designed.
    - Size: I forgot to measure him! I would guess he was approxmiately 14" tall
    - Materials: Minky fabrics, Silky Soft ultra plush fiber filling, quilt batting, thread, rayon embroidery thread, embroidery stabilizers, button snap.

  6. Are you going to age with grace?
Are you going to age without mistakes?
When oblivion is calling out your name,
You always take it further than I ever can.

A bond of a father and son is never to be broken.

Just another story piece - quite a few of those recently; been writing the story a bit more lately (progress!)
and still trying to experiment a little with defining shadows without over-rendering a picture.

  7. Finished.
I'm not sure if I'm happy with colouring (I aimed for a more grey-ish look, but it turned out excessive green). If anyone can point out what is feeling wrong with it, it'd be much appreciated.

It's not a secret I enjoy Argonians very much. So far that I've fucked with some dev's heads for more lore and speculations. So, there, have an argonian witch. Any ideas what she'll be brewing? Potion? Poison? Soup?

    I'm opened for commissions!
