Okay, so this one wasn't exactly a birthday card ... I unfortunately was not a Critter yet when Taliesin's birthday rolled around in January of this year. Not wanting to leave him out I decided that I would make him a card anyway just because. It took a while to really nail down how this card would look but I knew I wanted to incorporate the gunslinger aspect. The first thing was to create the little gun. I listened the Matthew Mercer's description of Animus several times while constructing it. There are a full six barrels crafted into it and the word Animus is hand pressed into the bottom of the handle. The whole gun is shiny! The white and black areas sport a very subtle shimmer and the copper foil paper nicely accented it (I know Matt called it a dark bronze but I thought copper an adequate substitute). Next was the rest of the card. After the gun came together I toyed with the base a bit. The ascot is a light weight waffle paper. I trimmed the navy cardstock jacket with the same copper foil and added brads for that little extra finery. I was very glad he survived (and kissed Vex)! View the full article

Hi everyone! So I'm kinda back, again. I'm still caught in the process of college apps so I decided not to "officially" announce my return through a journal, but I have been lurking on DA again. That means I'll probably respond to any comments, notes, or anything, so feel free to talk to me again aha Concerning this submission, this was something I wrote in my creative writing class a while back. Performing at Carnegie Hall was a particularly memoriable event in my life, especially because of the change and growth I experienced in my playing, from the beginning of preparation to the very final performance. I know that this is completely different from the colourful pictures in my gallery. But I hope you like it. It's too sad that some people use this type of Halloween costume to harm other people. What the hell is wrong with the world today? Making of: It was a cold and foggy morning when we went to the Taunus, a part of the average mountain in Germany. We chose a dark part of the forest. I picked my wideangle lens (16-35 f/4) for the shot to capture the whole scenery. I tried not to emphazise the clown. It was more like making him part of the dark scene.
