My new painting Here and Now was inspired by the beauty of being present in the moment and experiencing a real connection with someone else despite the constant change and chaos that surrounds us all. More info: paulrichmondstudio.com/2016/09… WAR PAINT series “They understand only too well the liberation into savagery that the concealing paint brought.” –Lord of the Flies, William Golding Body painting has significance in many cultures and serves a variety of purposes from spiritual cleansing to battle preparation. My War Paint series draws upon this rich symbolism to investigate the construction of identity. In these paintings, the human form becomes the canvas, a painted object of his/her own creation. Reality and abstraction compete within the figurative foundation of each piece to make the subjects’ inner struggles more tangible. The application of pigment is suggestive of their psychological states, the color of their self-made armor exposing more than it conceals. By deconstructing and rebuilding the figure, my goal is to invite understandings that reach beyond the immediate surface and reveal the complexity of the individual. View the full article

Genre: Horror/Mystery/Comedy Is about a group of kids, who lives in a weird town, and tries to discover all the mysteries on the town. besides to tell scary tales on the treehouse. Characters: Thane (the "leader", the guy who uses glasses)/MIKE (the necesary fat kid)/Alice (the blond "tsundere")/Alvin (Alice´s brother, he is albino)/Chloe (the curly hyperkinetic girl) Inspirations: Shows like Tales from the Crypt/Goosebumps/Are you afraid the dark, besides all that 80´s AMBLIN stuff, like E.T, goonies and all that.
